Yesterday started off on a bad note with the weather. For my first show, the Livingston Parish Library Comic Con, I was originally placed outside, but with the severe thunderstorms in the area, I was forced to move inside, and all vendors had to share tables (on 6’ tables, only giving each vendor about 3’ of space) in order to accommodate everyone. It took a bit of thinking, but I decided to have my set up look more like a “shrine”/tower to show off everything I could. I was honestly really proud of the result, and my sales weren’t affected by the weird set up. Luckily, the storm calmed down during the day, and there was a fairly large attendance!
Then after the LPL Comic Con ended, I had to immediately head over to the MidCity Ballroom for PuriCon 2! Unfortunately, this is where the storm started to pick up, and really affected attendance. But, even though attendance was low, and the storm was a bit scary at times, the show was AMAZING, and I spent the entire time with a giant smile on my face, and danced the entire night (but never strayed too-too far from my booth)!
It was an extremely busy day yesterday, but damn if it wasn’t fun!!!!
